Also, this is one of the most iconic and well-known Beatles songs ever, and rightfully so. This is a great song to help you keep the things that truly matter in mind. Just listen to this when you’re feeling down, and you’ll have to feel at least a little better. It’s easy.” Is this not one of the most heartwarming and uplifting songs in all of musical history? Honestly, there’s nothing I can say to really do this song justice. Nothing you can do, but you can learn how to be you in time. Nothing you can say, but you can learn how to play the game. “There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done. This album can be very unsettling at times, but it also manages to excel at providing some true anthems of positivity (more on that for the next song). The fondness Paul feels is very palpable through the lyrics. It’s hard to listen to Penny Lane without thinking of the place where you grew up. And nobody seems to like him, they can tell what he wants to do.” 3. But the fool on the hill sees the sun going down, and the eyes in his head see the world spinning around. But nobody ever hears him or the sound he appears to make, and he never seems to notice. “ Well on the way, head in a cloud, the man of a thousand voices talking perfectly loud. This is just a beautiful song, and it just gives me happy energy. Paul’s voice sounds lovely, and the storytelling in the lyrics exceptional. But this song (as well as the first track) is the exception. But nobody wants to know him, they can see that he’s just a fool, and he never gives an answer.” The first half of this album really isn’t for me. “Day after day, alone on a hill, the man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still. Ringo’s drumming is also really good, though. The horns as well as the vocals are the highlights of this track. If the whole album had this kind of energy, I would enjoy it a lot more. It’s fun, energetic, and has a very grandiose feel to it. This was a really solid opener for the album. The charm of this song is in the vocals, which are really pleasant. This isn’t really a lyrical song (the lyrics are very basic and repetitive) but that doesn’t make it bad. I really like the melody and hook, it’s very infectious. This marks the point where all the songs from this point on are ones that I like quite a bit. It’s a decent song and I can see why other people would like it, but it’s just not my type of song. I don’t know why, but I’m not crazy about this song. Still, it doesn’t stand out that much for me. This is a good song, and it’s fairly upbeat when compared to the other songs from this album, so I appreciate it for that. This kind of sounds like something from Sgt. However, it is kind of fun to listen to if you’re listening to Magical Mystery Tour as a whole. I know this is a classic, but it’s not a song I could ever see myself listening to outside of this record. Honestly, if this song had some really cheerful lyrics and a nice melody, it would probably be among my favorites from the album, because I actually really like the music, but it’s not really a song that I would find myself listening to a lot due to the lack of lyrics. It literally makes me feel as if I’m facing impending doom, and it sounds like something that would play in my nightmares. Okay, I’m sorry, but this song freaks me out. In this post I’ll be ranking all the songs from Magical Mystery Tour from worst to best. You’re guaranteed to recognize at least a few of the song titles in the track list. Here are all of Magical Mystery Tour songs ranked.Magical Mystery Tour was the soundtrack to the film of the same name, and it’s chock-full with some of the best songs in the entire Beatles catalog. With the international standardization of the Beatles’ catalogue in 1987, Magical Mystery Tour became the only Capitol-generated LP to supersede the band’s intended format and form part of their core catalogue. The album topped Billboard’s Top LPs listings for eight weeks and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1969. In the UK, it topped the EPs chart compiled by Record Retailer and peaked at number 2 on the magazine’s singles chart (later the UK Singles Chart) behind “Hello, Goodbye”. Despite widespread media criticism of the Magical Mystery Tour film, the soundtrack was a critical and commercial success. In 1976, Parlophone released the eleven-track LP in the UK. The EP was issued in the UK on 8 December 1967 on the Parlophone label, while the Capitol Records LP release in the US occurred on 27 November and featured an additional five songs that were originally released as singles that year. It includes the soundtrack to the 1967 television film of the same name. Magical Mystery Tour is a record by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a double EP in the United Kingdom and an LP in the United States.
